UPSC Prelims Result 2025 : Results are Announcing Soon. As the commission conducted UPSC prelims examination on 25 may 2025 on sunday all over india. This year exam conducted without any postponement unlike previous year, previous year exam was postponed due loksabha elections. This year exam went well all over india .

According to resources UPSC (UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION) about release prelims results on second week of june 2025. if that date got delay they will announce the result on third week of june.

As we know that UPSC is though exam in india, to clear this exam we should have patience, dedication,Β  and broad knowledge . unless these three we cannot clear the exam. results are to be announced on the official website of UPSC portal,use the below link to check the results.

Some Basics About UPSC :-

 

  1. Civil Services Examination (CSE)

    • Purpose: To recruit officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and other Group A and B services.

    • Stages:

      • Preliminary Examination (objective-type)

      • Mains Examination (descriptive)

      • Personality Test (interview)

  2. Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Examination

  3. Engineering Services Examination (ESE/IES)

  4. Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS)

  5. National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination

  6. Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS)

The Prelims is a screening test. It consists of two objective-type papers.

πŸ“˜ Paper I – General Studies (GS)

  • Current events of national and international importance

  • History of India and Indian National Movement

  • Indian and World Geography – Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World

  • Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.

  • Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives

  • General issues on Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity and Climate Change

  • General Science

πŸ“˜ Paper II – CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)

  • Comprehension

  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills

  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability

  • Data interpretation (Class X level)

The Mains exam is descriptive and consists of 9 papers.

🟦 Qualifying Papers (Only need to pass)

  • Paper A: Indian Language (any one from the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution) – 300 marks

  • Paper B: English – 300 marks

🟧 Papers Counted for Merit

  • Paper I: Essay – 250 marks

  • Paper II: General Studies I

    • Indian Heritage and Culture, History, and Geography of the World and Society

  • Paper III: General Studies II

    • Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice, and International Relations

  • Paper IV: General Studies III

    • Technology, Economic Development, Biodiversity, Environment, Security, and Disaster Management

  • Paper V: General Studies IV

    • Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude

  • Papers VI & VII: Optional Subject (Paper 1 and Paper 2) – Any one subject chosen from the UPSC optional list

Each paper: 250 marks
Total (for merit): 1750 marks

  • Conducted for candidates who qualify Mains

  • Carries 275 marks

  • Tests the candidate’s personality, leadership qualities, communication skills, ethical integrity, and awareness of current affairs
